Help Japan

My heart is heavy thinking of everyone in Japan. We have been collecting money at work for the Red Cross - the past few days we've collected over $3,000.00. It's not enough, but it's a start and in a small way it allows people to come together to make a differance. Hope everyone's reaching out in their own way to help. My picture isn't Japan, instead the Butchart Gardens in Victoria, BC, Canada. Hope it inspires you to give a bit of what you have so others may live a bit better and lessen their burdens.

Back to Budapest

The serene street begins to feel hectic as vehicle sounds and people's voices wafe in the air. Suddenly across the street appears a breathtaking plaza of statues,walkways... Heroes' Square (Hősӧk tere) spreads out into a magnificent sight. Frantic to find a way across the street to begin exploring and getting closer to the statues....

Solitude at the end of Andrássy Ut

Spent the better part of a day in the park and barely touched the surface. So many things I wasn't able to get to - my camera tends to draw me to certain areas and I forget I'm a tourist trying to see. My camera slows me to find what isn't always evident as I walk past.
What you will see is my first time in the City Park (Városliget) and Hero's Square (Hősӧk tere).

I am back

I am back posting again. We are still walking up Andrasay Ut. Next stop is a beautiful city park (Városliget). Here we will visit Heroes' Square, Vajdahunyad Castle, and even find a statue of George Washington.
